The Quran is not a science or Technology book, but it contains many verses that inspire reflection on the natural world, creation, and human progress. Muslim believe
that the Qur’an encourage learning discovery and the use of knowledge-which includes modern technology. Many scholars say the Qur’an laid a foundation for curiosity that led to science and invention.
Here are few connection between technology in our world and verses in the Qur’an.
- Exploration of the Heavens and Earth:
“O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heaven and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by Authority.(Qur’an 55:33)
Some scholars see this as motivation for space exploration and technology like rockets and satellites.

- Ships ands Transportation:
“And of His sign are the ships in the sea, like mountain.” (Qur’an 42:33). This points to the of transportation technology in human life.

- Iron and Materials:
“And we sent down iron, in which is strong materials for war and benefits for mankind…” (Qur’an 57:25). Iron is the base for tools, machine, and modern industry.

- Communication:
“And we taught him (David) the making of coats of armor to protect you from your enemy in battle.”(Qur’an 21:80). Show how God gifted humans skills in design and engineering.

- Knowledge Advancement:
“And He taught Adam the name- all of them.” (Qur’an 2:31)
Interpreted as God giving humans the ability to learn, invent, and create knowledge which leads to new technologies.

The Qur’an does not mention modern technology directly like (phone, cars, or computers) but it encourages discovery, reflection, and the use of human intellect which is the root of all technology in our world today.
